Backstory: Vessa was born a werewolf, but was raised to be as human as possible. Some of her packmates were killed by overzealous slayers, and she needed to camouflage herself in order to survive. In a small town that bordered a thick and dark forest, becoming a hunter was cover enough for her transformations. She has trusted few with her secret, and has mostly kept to herself. Despite the hardships of paranoia, danger, and the loss of friends and family, Vessa is a kind-hearted and optimistic individual, and rare is the occasion when she cannot smile at a joke or a song. She has left the relative safety of the frozen wilderness in order to escape the slayers who wanted to destroy her, using her skills as a hunter to not only barter passage and earn herself a place in the world outside the snows, but to stay one step ahead of those who hunt her in return.
