Forgath realized Vessa looking pretty tired. He started circleing above her. "Don't get me wrong, but you're looking terrible. You have weird ideas about the condition to fight a dragon. Didn't anybody tell you about that magic thing called sleep? It isn't really magic, I can use it, too." he landed besides her and folded his wings. "Seriously, you didn't think that through, when you decided to party all night long with the squirrels, did you? Did the rabiits get jealous or did you invite them, too?" He shook his head. Humans... who else would plan to kill a dragon but don't bother getting some sleep during the previous night?

The angel flitted his wings. "I wouldn't bother the person who feeds you. Especially since she was also smart enough and enduring enough to stay awake to avoid us being snuck up on. I can imagine a number of bandits would attempt to rob you for your hat." The Doctor remarked dryly, standing up in case he had to attempt to break up a fight (something he really didn't want to attempt, as he was certain he would be soundly beaten all the way to Qarsil for it). He was ever the diplomat of the group, it seemed.

Amelia giggled as Forgath commented on Vessas tired look too. Then she tossed a rock at him too. "He's right, leave her alone" she looked at the girl and felt sorry for her. Or maybe she should feel sorry for Forgath. She was pretty sure Vessa could kick his butt as easily as she did that moose. The only difference is the moose got it over quickly. Forgath might be tortured. She smiled at the idea. She was glad to be in her usual good mood again. She looked at the doctor. Always trying to keep a fight from breaking out. Even when he hadn't known their names he had kept Vessa and her from being at each others throats. She wasn't even sure why they had almost fought? Something about the thought of leader.

"Hey now reason to throw stuff at me.I already received that by some squirrels, just as predicted. About that smart-thing you mentioned: I don't remember me sleeping on the ground, being an easy prey. And about my hat: everyone who touches it who isn't me,will end up begging me to kill him. That's one of two things I'd be taking personal. But you're right, Nate,my old wise feathered buddy. Don't bite the hand that's feeding you." He took of his hat and bowed almost to the ground. "I'm deeply sorry,oh careful Lady Vessa." the he got back in the air, smiling.

Vessa tucked a pale strand of hair behind her ear. "Mock all you want," she said levelly, blinking at Forgath. "But when there are big predators, you'll find big scavengers. It has made itself known, so nature will provide the rest."
She paused, and looked around the group. "Our knowledge is limited, our weapons insufficient, and our numbers few. Somehow, an assault on the dragon seems impossible. No. We need to know this creature. Observe it. Wait. And watch. And hold off on action until we are fully prep..." She yawned again. "... Prepared for whatever it - or the creatures that will inevitably flock to it - can do." She softened her voice. "Please."

"Precisely what I was suggesting, we use the stealthiest of our party to observe the dragon and decide whether or not we actually want to fight this thing, or what it might be here for. You might have noticed, but we don't seem to have an actual reason for fighting it, we just sort of ran at it hoping something interesting would happen. ...Are we all really that bored that we're suddenly suicidal enough to follow people into the den of the dragon and be eaten? Don't answer that, it seems we've answered it for ourselves." the doctor rested a hand on his face. He would've liked to knead the spot between his eyes, but the mask made that impossible, and he wasn't up to removing it. "Oh, and thank you for the food, miss." The Doctor tipped his hat politely again, as well as his wings, to show his gratitude. Perhaps because somebody in the party had to have some measure of politeness in them.

Vessa dipped her head, smiling. "You're most welcome. The meat on that beast should provide us with enough rations for at least four days, maybe more if we're sparing. I can treat the hind legs and antlers, maybe make crude axes or clubs... But that is talk for another time." She rubbed her eyes.

"Stealthiness might be fine Doc, but your suggestion of an air-investigation wasn't that bad, either. When we're facing the dragon the surrounding area will e pretty important, too. It will decide how good the dragon can manouver and how well our groundsupport will be able to move and attack. And that kind of information is easier and safer to gain, if you overlook everything from above." Forgath circled above them, trying to be patient. "So,are you coming or what?"

Amelia wasn't sure what they were doing. Were they going on foot? She looked from person to person. They switched topics easily and they seemed to agree and disagree on small things. "I say we go with an air approach. I'll stay behind and work on finding us areas to move around if we have to switch spots. Vessa could work on the weapons she might make. The guy will keep sleeping" she said looking at the guy she was still sitting next to. "What ever you want to do but that's my opinion."

The angel considered it and nodded. "I was thinking we could be used more as a signal, in case the sneaky sorts get injured, or the dragon wakes. So we can have backup. But you have a point, we'll have to observe the area as well." The Angel stretched his wings to their rather impressive length (Though not quite as impressive as Forgath's, as his wings would have needed to be bigger to lift his not-hollow bones off the ground), and gently fluttered them a bit to raise himself just a bit off the ground before flying upwards. He paused skyward to look at the dragon, and descended again. "It's still sleeping. Better to go sooner rather than later, lest he wake up and leave." He pointed out, settling his feet on the ground again. He wanted to make sure they were all ready to go first, though. They would need the grave robber, since he was one of their sneakier types. Or at least, so he suspected.

Olmaz opened one eye and was surprised to find Amelia sitting next to him and some party members already up and about.
Getting careless. That's a good idea when you're the kind of person who's always being hunted. Bravo.
He got to his feet as silently as possible, brushing off his clothes. He crouched next to the Fire Dancer and was surprised how she still managed to have a pleasant smell about her, even after spending the night in the forest.
If he understood the plan correctly, he was to get close to the dragon, recon the situation and tell them all a merry story. Then, they'd go in, slay the dragon and be heroes.
"I really don't mind the good Doctor's plan. Then again, I've never seen so many people with death wishes so close together." He smirked. "Either way, I'm game. Not like I've got much else to do or look forward to."

The Doctor nodded. "Good, sounds like a plan, then. Call for me if you need a doctor. I suppose we should figure out what we want done with our bodies after we're dead. If I die, don't bother getting me raised, I suppose." He laughed darkly and shrugged, before lighting to the skies to investigate. The graverobber's agreement was enough to make him happy with the plan. Weird request, though. One would think a doctor would want to live. Then again, he'd already been alive four-hundred-and-fifty years, what did he have to do that he hadn't already?

Amelia jumped a little when she heard the man next to her speak. She hadn't realized that he was awake. She smiled at him and listened to the group speak. Her body language didn't show it but she was tense next to him. She wanted to ask him so many things. She wanted to know if that first day he had looked at her. She wanted to know if he felt something. She shook her head, she was crazy. "So who's staying behind, me? Vessa? Or what?" she asked before they all took off.

Vessa blinked back out of the daze she was slipping into. "If anyone wants to use moosebone clubs or antler axes, I would be happy to make them. As I said, they'll be crude, but they'll be tough." She yawned again. "I may need to take some time to rest before I can be of any service in scouting or hunting, however."

The Angel considered. "Perhaps you should stay behind, to rest. The Bard can watch out for danger or a signal, since one who deals in music might not be terribly stealthy. I'd say clubs would be useful, but against a dragon, I doubt that the material we have is sufficient. Still, perhaps we can use them after the fight, those of us who live." He suggested, flapping his wings carefully. "Forgath and I can patrol the skies, leaving the graverobber and Amelia to investigate the cave... And again, my name is Natan. It may be a failing memory, but I'm starting to wonder if I've missed introductions from some people." He sounded apologetic about that. Perhaps he was worried about offending people by referring to their job titles. Indeed, he couldn't remember the graverobber or the Bard referring to themselves, yet.
((Keep in mind, all, your character can't see other people's character sheets. =P I'm having a hard time with that myself. ))
