So basic rules are simple, okay? These are BASIC RULES TO FOLLOW ON THE WHOLE FORUM. They are not optional! Other forums and games will have their own rules, so mind those as well.
1. Don't be a dick.
2. If I see an argument, I stop an argument. Got a problem? Get a mediator.
3. Try not to be too offensive to anyone. Anyone being an ass gets blocked.
4. Post in proper forums
5. Keep it classy. I don't want to see smut in romances (take it to PMs, it stops being my problem), but gore is alright within reason.
6. Confirm all profiles through me before posting them to one of my forums. In the case of a guest DM, confirm with that DM before posting to their forums. In most cases, you will need to confirm character profiles and be added to a list of posters before you are allowed to post, just to trim down unwanted add-ins.
7. DMs, try to accomodate new-joining characters. Newbies: Work with everybody to try to fit in. Don't expect coddling. It's not hard to fit in, but read the forum before you post!
8. TL;DR IS A BAD THING. Be sure to read EVERYTHING that's relevant to your rp forum. You might not need to read everyone's character sheets, but you can definitely look up things to confirm details.
9. It's not a tabletop RPG, guys. things get fudged. Not everything is random chance, so I get to play characters, too. Not a rule, just a fact. Things will go well if everyone just gets along. 'kay?
10. I get to change these rules at any time. DMs get to change the rules of their games at any time. Deal with it. But if a DM is being particularly unfair, take it up with me in a calm and logical manner, and I'll see what I can do. I try to be fair to all users.
11. You may be sentenced to "Boot camp". If you are, then you will only be allowed to post in the "Boot Camp" forum until otherwise alerted. You may appeal your case through PMs, but forum posts will be deleted. Boot Camps happen after multiple RP warnings. It's not a punishment, it's just telling you that you need to improve your writing skills, and Boot Camp can help with that. We'll address your problems in an individual thread, and work you through it. Don't worry 'bout it, okay?
12. The way we write is like a book, not like a D&D game. Characters speak in quotations, and actions are written out. No worries, you get the hang of it quick.
13. Be nice about grammar and writing and such. A good portion of the people here aren't from the US, and may use different grammar or punctuation. Gentle prodding about a misused word or grammatical faults is okay, but try not to be too mean about it. We all have our bad writing days.
